This post has been festering in my head for a while now. It probably has been written about to death in the fashion blogosphere but msn now has a post on it so I guess I now have no choice but to blog about it =) So, designers have been submitting their ideas to Women's Wear Daily (Women's Wear Daily) - the bible of the fashion world. They have sketches for Michelle and the girls. In my opinion, there are a few top contenders (shown below). I guess I just like the goddess look. The yellow suit by Diane Von Furstenberg is a killer look for our future First Lady. For the girls, there is only one choice in my opinion (not the pic with their mom). The rest look like school outfits not inauguration ball gowns! I say, "Let the girls be princesses at least for a day!" Which outfits are your favorites?

The yellow suit is certainly quintessential. Next in line for me are the purple Mizrahi and the gorgeous Young gowns for Malia and Sasha. It’s all about deep colors IMO.

Is it too late for Michelle to count my vote?

I didn’t end up feeling her choice for daytime (it looked a bit matronly) and the evening gown grew on me a bit. I guess we’re now waiting for her to patronize an African designer. Been wondering about it long before this recent trip to Ghana… (and no, =( she didn’t wear an african-designed/ inspired outfit during the trip)
